Sustainable construction with Property Development - BNP Paribas Real Estate

The inclusion of sustainability factors in town planning and in building construction and management is self-evident for clients, property developers and local authorities alike.

In Corporate Property

All buildings, over 800,000 m2 of offices, now have France's HQE (High Environmental Quality) certification for tertiary buildings from Certivéa, with a sustainable building passport issued at the Excellent or Outstanding level.

This continuous quest for the best environmental quality means its properties meet the requirements of investors and building users, in both environmental and financial terms.

In residential property

We are committed to achieving environmental certification for every property we produce.

More than 5,200 housing units are now certified or undergoing the certification process, at the BBC level (France's low energy-use building standard) that anticipates future thermal regulations applicable from 2013.

BNP Paribas Residential Property also set up the "Green Suppliers Charter" in 2010, which requires its service providers to comply with environmentally responsible practices and certifications.

In addition to looking for energy efficiency, we are running carbon assessments on several of our projects to best evaluate our buildings' greenhouse gases emissions impact.
